How does the app track my steps?

There are several ways the app can track your steps, and I'll be happy to provide details on that.

First, it is highly recommended that you integrate WalkFit with the Health app. This way, our app can automatically pull the number of steps you take during the day from Apple Health. In that case, as long as you’re wearing your Apple Watch, you will not have to carry around your phone to keep track of your steps.

To check whether WalkFit is synchronized with the Health app, please go to Settings on your phone > Privacy > Health > WalkFit.

Furthermore, our app is synchronized with the 'Motion&Fitness' feature to track your steps and speed, and whether the device is stationary or moving (walking/running). That means you need to have your phone with you while walking in order to have your steps recorded correctly.

To check whether WalkFit has access to the necessary data, please go to Settings (on your phone) > WalkFit > Allow WalkFit to access everything as displayed below:
